Control vs No Control SEL Activity, 48 Self Regulation Sorting Cards K-2
Can Milmo Control It? is an interactive Social Emotional Learning (SEL) sorting activity that helps young learners explore the difference between what they can control and what they cannot control through 48 relatable, kid-friendly scenarios.
Students pick a card, ask “Can Milmo control this?”, and sort it onto YES – Milmo will try! or NO – Milmo lets it fly! Then, use the included conversation guide to move beyond simply getting the answer “right” and help students think about what Milmo can choose to do next.
From a late school bus and changing schedules to asking for help, using kind words, losing a game, needing more space, or dealing with someone else's behavior, students practice flexible thinking and self-regulation using situations they actually encounter in everyday life.
